Recipe - Tuna Noodle Casserole

Here is a family recipe I wanted to share with you. Pictured below is the casserole my Mom and I made together. You can make this with your favorite egg noodles. We used wide egg noodles this time but you can go with fine or medium width noodles.

What You'll Need

2 cans (10 1/2 ounces ea) Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 can filled with milk
1 cup frozen green peas
2 cans (about 5 ounces each ) tuna in water, drained
4 ounces (about 2 cups) medium egg noodles, cooked and drained
2 tablespoons plain dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon butter, melted

How to Make It

  • 1
Heat the oven to 400°F.  Stir the soup, milk, peas, tuna and noodles in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.  Stir the bread crumbs and butter in a small bowl.
  • 2
Bake the tuna mixture for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbling.  Stir the tuna mixture.  Sprinkle with the bread crumb mixture.
  • 3
Bake for 5 minutes or until the bread crumb mixture is golden brown.

Restaurant Review - Fast N Fresh

After shopping the other day, my Mom and I stopped at Fast N Fresh for lunch.

Their are three locations in the Sarasota area.

I got the kids turkey on white bread with chips on the side. My Mom got the Cobb Salad. She loves their salads. You even get the option to design your own salad and she does that everything.

This place is pricey but the ingredients are
definitely fresh! Service isn't so fast, as their name says. You first go in, place your order at one counter, then go down to the next counter to pay. They give you a number for your table. You then have to wait. Each time we go their isn't very many people dinning but it can take a good 10-15 minutes to receive your food after sitting down.

Check out their menu and I'm sure you'll find something you like!

Even though service is a bit slow we give this place 5 out of 5 stars for their awesome salads!

Restaurant Review - Giannis NY Pizza

Homemade Meatballs with Ricotta

A few weeks ago my Mom and I checked out Giannis NY Pizza in Bradenton. This was our first time there. We ordered the homemade meatballs and ricotta in sauce with garlic knots to share from their appetizer menu.

Garlic Knots

They came fairly quickly and steaming hot. The meatballs were okay, they weren't worth ordering again. The garlic knots were just soaked in butter, I thought they were pretty good but my Mom didn't like them as she said their was too much butter.
My food!!!
.
For our main dish my Mom and I decided to share their Meat Lovers Stromboli. Good thing we decided to share it as it was HUGE!!! See up there ^ that was just half of it! Again, it was piping hot when it arrived to the table, which is a good thing! My Mom hates food that isn't super duper hot.

The BIG OLE' Stromboli! - this is just one, people!

I would give it 4 out of 5 stars while my mom said it was 3 out of 5 stars. She said it lacked spices and was bland. While it was stuffed with meat and cheese it just didn't have much flavor. If we were to order here agian she would bring her own spices...LOL no not really. She said we probably wont come back here since the food was pretty bland. But hey, I ate my entire half, see! My mom ate about half of her half because she said she was full and took the left overs home with her.

Happy Birthday to me!!! * Restaurant Review - Culvers

My friends and I ended my birthday celebration at Culver's today. It was the first time we had all gone there. They just built two in our town. We all had a single butterburger with cheese and shared a fry. The burgers were yummy! All three of us, (Merari, Laura and I) gave it 5 out of 5 stars! While the burgers were on the greasy side they tasted really good. We also liked the fries, crinkle cut.

Before Culver's we had a party at my house and then went to a trampoline center. Here are some pics! We all had such a wonderful day together!

Quick Kitchen Tip - Wooden Spoon & Boiling Water

Here is just a quick kitchen tip my Mom gave me. I thought I would share with ya'll because it really works!

When ever you are boiling a pot of water lay a wooden spoon across the top of the pot. The water will never over boil. It's so cool!

Mini Baked Cinnamon Sugar Donuts Recipe

Yesterday I filmed a new cooking video. It was just uploaded to my YouTube channel so go check it out!

Here is the recipe for the Cinnamon Sugar Mini Donuts

Ingredients:
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
Cinnamon sugar topping:
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325ºF. Lightly oil mini donut pan and set aside (alternatively you can use mini muffin pans)
  2. In a medium bowl with a hand mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla and mix until just combined (mixture will look curdled).
  3. Add in the baking powder and the salt and mix until just incorporated. Mix in the flour just until combined. You don't want to overmix this batter.
  4. If using mini donut pan, transfer mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip or into a ziplock baggie with the tip cut off. Pipe into the pan only filling ½ of the way fill. If using the mini muffin pan, fill each well ½ full
  5. Bake at 325ºF for 8-10 minutes. *If using a mini donut maker, bake for 4-5 minutes. Allow to cool just slightly before dipping in topping.
  6. Melt the butter for the topping and combine the cinnamon and sugar. Dip each donut lightly in butter then roll in cinnamon and sugar.

Recipe Share and New You Tube Videos Posted

Hi guys! I just wanted to give you a heads up, I just posted 2 new videos. Please check them out . I also wanted to give you the recipe here:

Granola Bars

2 cups quick cooking oats
1 C rice crispy cereal
1/4 C shredded coconut
1/4 C butter
1/4 C honey
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
Any toppings you would like: Chocolate Chips, Nuts, Coconut

1.  In a large mixing bowl, mix together the oats, cereal and coconut.  Set a small saucepan over medium high heat and melt the butter.  Add the honey, brown sugar and salt.  Stir together then leave it alone as it comes to a boil.  Once the boil has reached all the way around the edges of the pan, begin timing.  Allow this mixture to boil for 2 minutes and 15 seconds.  During this time, you may need to turn the heat down a bit so it doesn’t overflow, but be sure it keeps boiling.
2.  Add the vanilla and then pour the mixture over the oats, using a rubber spatula to get all the sugar mixture out of the pan.  Mix the ingredients together until the oats are completely coated.  Add in your desired mix-in then press very firmly into a lightly greased 9×13″ pan.  If you like your bars thicker, you can use a smaller pan.  If you do not press firmly enough, the bars will fall apart when you eat them.  Place them in the fridge for 20 minutes then cut to size.

Chocolate Pudding:

1/2 cup white sugar

Restaurant Review - Buffalo Wild Wings

Waiting for my food
Buffalo Wild Wings

My Mom's salad
This was our first time at Buffalo Wild Wings. It's located in Sarasota off Clark Road.

We walked inside and I thought it looked cool. It was slow but it was between lunch and dinner time, I think about 2:30pm.

It took 15 minutes to get our food. I ordered the pulled pork slammers with fries. My Mom ordered the chicken chopped salad. It had BBQ chicken on it with blue cheese, dried cranberries, nuts and bacon. She also got their house made ranch dressing on the side. She said it was the best ranch dressing she has ever had! She actually ordered some to go. I thought it was pretty good too and dipped my fries in it. :)

My grub
I will give this place 5 out of 5 stars. That's how much I like it! We are defiantly going back here!

Welcome to my food blog!

Thank you for stopping by to check out my new food blog!

I plan to post several times per week. I will be sharing recipes, restaurant reviews and what I eat in a day.

Today, I filmed a new cooking video so check my channel soon, as it should be loaded with in the next couple of days.

I also wanted to post my first restaurant review.

For dinner my Mom and I wanted to check out a new restaurant, Full Belly Stuffed Burgers. It's located off State Road 70 East of 75 in Bradenton, FL.

Outside the joint

We got there at 7:00pm, the place was packed! We were lucky enough to get the last table. I ordered off the kids menu and got the lil' belly burger with tater tots. My mom ordered the bacon blue cheese burger - yuck, moldy cheese! LOL and the house made chips. It took 17 minutes to get our food, so not that bad at all!

Lil' Belly Burger and Tots

Bacon Blue Cheese Burger and House Made Chips

Inside the joint, it's so tiny!

I really liked my burger, it was juicy and tasted good. My mom and I ended up swapping the chips and tater tots because I really liked her chips. My Mom also said she liked her burger and said we would go back again.

Overall I would give this place 4 out of 5 stars. You should ask your Mom or Dad to take you there if you like burgers.
